This film is so much fun to watch. It starts out as a typical mutant
animal movie, but it has a few surprises up its sleeve - it doesn't
follow conventional guidelines.
Let's put it this way - I was watching the film for the first time
in the video store where I worked part time. When we got to the first
surprise, we all looked at each other, rewound the film, and watched
it again. We were all impressed.
LL Cool J makes the film. Without him and his parrot as comic relief,
it wouldn't be nearly so good. This is one of those films to watch when
you want to be surprised, but don't want to have to think.
THINGS I LOVE
 Aquatica
the lab - very cool setup.
LL Cool J and
his parrot. He is the main reason I love this film so much - he makes
the film. Every scene with him rocks.
Smart sharks.
Very cool.
Shark cam.
FAVORITE MOMENTS
The biting off
of the arm.
The helicopter
crashing while trying to take the head scientist to the mainland.
The sharks breaking
the glass. Fantastic.
The shark attack
in the kitchen. This cracks me up.
Franklin's big
speech about the avalanche - I won't spoil it for you.

The maintenance ladder well - the shark circling below, fire above.
Preacher's video
legacy.
Preacher's prayer
before the 3 of them attempt to escape.
QUOTES
You're the guy
that got caught in that avalanche right? Like Black men don't have enough
ways to get killed without climbing up some stupid ass mountain in the
middle of God's nowhere. You need to leave that to the white folks,
brother. - Preacher
So, here's the
riddle: What does an 8000 pound Maco shark with a brain the size of
a flat head V8 engine and no natural predators think about? - Franklin
Oh, I'm done.
Brothers never make it out of situations like this. Not ever. - Preacher

Yea, though
I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil
for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Surely
goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, because
I carry a big stick and I'm the meanest motherfucker in the valley.
Two sharks down, Lord, one demon fish to go. Can I get an Amen? - Preacher
