LINKS FOR MOVIES, ACTORS, DIRECTORS, etcThe Internet Movie Database - www.imdb.comThis really is THE site for finding out anything and everything about films - the Bible of internet film information. Sight and Sound Magazine www.bfi.org.uk/sightandsound/index.htmlThis is, by far, the best magazine about movies in existence. You can read a few articles and reviews online - but for all the goodies, you have to buy it. It's put out by the British Film Institute (bfi) and manages to be both intelligent and accessible. I love it. Read it. You will understand. Benicio del Toro - www.beniciodeltoro.comYes, these fine folks let me put their pictures on my site, but I'd still have a link to them anyway. It's a fantastic site with lots of current information, pics, sounds, etc. It's nicely laid out and easy to maneuver. I recommend it. LINKS FOR BOOKS253 by Geoff Ryman - www.ryman-novel.comI had the pleasure of sitting next to this author on a 9 hour plane ride from London to Seattle. We had both been bumped up to Business Class and were loving all the roomy comfort, personal video screen and lumbar support. It was one of the most enjoyable plane rides I've had. He told me about his "Internet novel" (although it is also available in paperback) and I was intrigued. When I got back to my apartment and checked out his site, I was amazed. This is such a great idea and he is truly talented. He does character sketches of everyone on one tube train ride home in London. It's fantastic. Don't forget to read the advertisements! LINKS TO FRIENDS' SITESGlobal Iguana - www.globaliguana.comMy friends Ed and Rob have started an e-business. Their slogan is "gifts with global perspective." In all honesty, I think they just wanted an excuse to travel all over the world to buy cool stuff. They have carvings, artwork, rugs, jewelry, etc., from Asia, Mexico and some parts of the United States. Check them out. It's a cool site. |
